At 22:21 hrs. Districts 11 and 9 were dispatched to 45 Sterling Dr. for a reported brush fire. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Einhorn reported a brush fire that extended to the structure.
Engine 3 was first due and the crew hit all visible fire and hot spots. The crews from 9-2-4 and Engine 1 checked the house for extension and ventilated. After checking the walls with thermal imaging cameras, the structure was declared to be safe. The Bureau of Fire Prevention completed its investigation and the house was turned back over to the homeowner.
