With the cold weather finally behind, us our training drills have moved outdoors. Recently, the Department conducted a portion of its annual motor vehicle extrication training alongside firefighters from the Iselin District 9 Fire Company. This training ensures the rescuers compentancy in one of the most technical portions of our jobs as firefighters. The practice of safely removing a stuck patient from a vehicle following a collision is becoming increasingly difficult with the advances of the auto industry. Compentancy training like this helps keep our firefighters well versed in this area of the job.
