At 01:09 am, Districts 11 and 9 were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Correja Avenue. Station 7 Dispatch updated the responding units that Woodbridge Police was on scene reporting flames showing.

Truck 9-2-4 was the first arriving unit and immediately requested the first alarm assignment to the scene. Chief Mellett established command and Assistant Chief Wertz established operations. The crews stretched hand lines and began fire attack and search operations. The firefighters had a quick knockdown of the fire and were able to contain it to the living room.

Iselin 11 was assisted on scene by Iselin 9, Colonia and Woodbridge (F.A.S.T. team), and had Avenel and Keasbey in house to cover the town.
